Berlinale Scout to visit Australia in October

Screen Australia is pleased to announce that the Australian scout for the Berlin International Film Festival, Maryanne Redpath, will visit Australia in October to view features for potential pre-selection for the 2009 Festival across all relevant sections.

Regarded as one of the top three film festivals in the world, the Berlin International Film Festival has reputable and distinctive program strands, plus it has the integrated European Film Market, providing a strong attraction to film sales and trade practitioners from all around the world.  At the 2008 Berlinale nine Australian films screened, including five features.

Filmmakers* with eligible feature films should email Martina Vascotto at Screen Australia for submission details.

Deadline for submissions to Screen Australia is October 1.

* NOTE: Documentary and short filmmakers are encouraged to submit your films directly to the Berlin International Film Festival. Their deadline is November 1. Please check eligibility and all conditions on the website as listed above.
