Western Australian filmmakers nominated for the 2008 IF Awards

Nominations for the 10th annual Inside Film (IF) Awards have been announced with Western Australians Jimmy Jack, Sam Hobbs and Kelrick Martin and WA expat Elissa Down all up for awards.

The Black Balloon, directed by Elissa Down and written by Elissa and Jimmy Jack, is nominated for several awards including Best Feature Film and Best Director. Elissa Down has also been announced as the Best Drama Feature Director award winner at the annual Australian Director's Guild (ADG) Awards.

Kelrick is nominated for Best Short Documentary for his work as the director of Mad Morro and Sam Hobbs is nominated for Best Production Design for the feature film September.

The IF Awards will be announced on Thursday November 13.
