Purpose and Scope:

ScreenWest provides limited funding for marketing of completed short films.

Short Film Marketing is designed to assist newer filmmakers to cover the costs of marketing and promoting their short films or Self Funded Low Budget Features to gain maximum exposure.

Funding is in the form of a grant of up to $2,000 per applicant. This funding is intended to cover elements such as the creation of press kits, festival applications, dubbing and postage.

Eligibility:

The work must have been produced by Western Australian residents. Hyperlink and Link recipients are eligible to apply. Eligible productions can be any length and in any genre.

Applications will be assessed on the quality of the finished film, the capacity and commitment of the production team, market potential and audience appeal, and the project's level of originality and innovation.

Applicants will be required to submit the following:

  • A completed Application Form;
  • A VHS or DVD copy of the completed film;
  • A one page detailed synopsis;
  • CVs of the films principals;
  • A marketing plan and marketing budget breakdown.

Applicants are strongly advised to contact ScreenWest for a detailed discussion of their project before making a formal application.

These guidelines must be read in conjunction with the General Guidelines.
